48 Hours in Geneva, Switzerland

Once upon a very boring class,
I glanced over my agenda and saw that I have yet to plan for the 1 week holiday we have here in France, called the Vacances Toussaint or the All Saints Holiday.
I opened a new tab on my chrome browser and started typing, “fastest plane ride from Nantes, France” and one of the fastest + cheapest option came up on top.

it said, hmm, I’ve always wanted to go to Switzerland!
I have been in it for a few hours inside a bus, absolutely strucked by its beauty, but I can barely count that as a trip as I had not spend the night, hear the locals speak, eat, walk, interact, and basically live, nor have I induldged myself in any of their habits and culture.

I checked my schedule and without looking up anything about Geneva, I booked my flight.
I arrived midday from Paris, having spent the night at the airport (bc my plane leaves early and I don’t think there are any ways to get to the airport had I not been closeby) I was TIRED. As I got to my hotel room, I laid down for a minute and fell asleep for half an hour because I was THAT tired.  But then I got ready and left to see what Geneva has got to offer.
That night I saw Jet D’eau in the dark.
It says on Wikipedia that

“Five hundred litres (110 imp gal; 130 US gal) of water per second are jetted to an altitude of 140 metres (460 ft) by two 500 kW pumps, operating at 2,400 V, consuming one megawatt of electricity.[2][3][4] The water leaves the 10 centimetres (3.9 in) nozzle at a speed of 200 kilometres per hour (120 mph). At any given moment, there are about 7,000 litres (1,500 imp gal; 1,800 US gal) of water in the air.”
What is my verdict on Geneva, you ask?
I liked it.

It wasn't crowded, people seem to enjoy a peaceful life and overall a very chill place to be in.
I am happy I got to see it for what it is.

Next, Z├╝rich!

What is in my Travel Make Up bag!

I have been so blessed with the ability to travel within and out of my job.
I might explain later how I manage to travel so much and how I have set my eyes on traveling as a goal, but for now I will let you into my little secret pouch of minimalistic make up that I bring along my journeys to see God’s finest lands.
These are it:
You might be wondering, but how do you apply them?
Well, i have brought with me this super compact travel sized brushes that are the perfect ‘all you needs’!
I also might carry a beauty blender (the black one) I forgot to inlude in the photo because it was on my table.
But the original beauty blender is the best and super versatile for different usage!
I should be going to bed an hour ago.
So I’ll see you on the next post!

Day Out in Nantes Festival

Hi #TeamNessie, I have tried to convince myself to take it easy, given that taking your 30 kg luggage from one hotel to another every 3 days isn’t easy. I,alone, took it upon myself to see the festival happening in town, just down the street from the hotel I am currently in. I might have to prop my camera on top of random places, I apologize for that, haha!

In addition to the supper fun rides, there are countless candies, churros, amd other types of sweets available in beautifully decorated stands along the lines of the rides.

It had restored my fresh minds, being amidst happy children.

Whatever life throws at you, just know that God is watching, and He won’t give you a problem bigger than what He knows you can handle. Amen.

I’ll see you on another post, loved ones!

X, Nessie

Paris, 31 August 2018

Dearest #TeamNessie who reads this blog,

yes I have abandoned you and this blog altogether and for that I am sorry.
And not gonna lie, it would still be abandoned if it weren't for the fact that I am back in Paris, for the second time in my life, to spend not 3 days this time, but 4++ whole months in France.

It's crazy, I know.
But if I had the chance to leap and go to France for any reason at all, I would, and if you know me any bit, you'd know that it wouldn't even be a question.

To spend months here is not to say that I don't love my country, but every time I visit a country, I leave a piece of my heart in them and sometimes I have to come back and visit them. You know?

But to cut it short, at IPMI International Business School we have the chance to spend a semester abroad (if we want) and there are a few countries given as choices. I have set my heart on Nantes, France from the beginning, after having my French friend, Sofyan told me that it is a great choice.

After a looooong process to apply for the programme, the visa and the countless, thick paperwork, I've come to this:

and after a few hours train ride, I came to the city that I will call home for the next four months;
These are a few shots I took when I first arrived.
There's so much more to explore, and I cannot wait.

Au revoir!
with love,

Stronger Valentine's

Dearest Reader,

Here we are again at the brink of a love tragedy for those who has nobody to text "goodnight baby. xo" leading up to tonight because tomorrow. Is. Valentine's. Day.

While I just so happened to have had somebody to spend it with for these past 3 years, I am very familiar with that kick in the gut when you're trying to tell yourself that you'll be fine with or without a man in your life yet jealousy kicks in when you see others getting spoiled with chocolates and roses on this very day.

And perhaps that's the truth; you're an independent person that needs nobody but your own love and affection, but trust me when I say this: once you see coupley pics starts popping up on your Instagram feed ya'll would want to hurt or burn something.
I am a business student. And a skeptic.
While I am very much informed about the day being a complete business scam and benefits the dairy and sweets industries massively, I have also came to the conclusion that it's great that there's a day dedicated to love. A day to freely informed your loved ones that they mean a lot to you.

"But you can just say that everyday."

Believe it or not, there are people like myself, who finds it hard to be all lovey dovey and romantically cheesy and gross. So it's great that there's a day that is like a free pass because everyone else will be more cheesy and gross.
There are two things in the title: Stronger & Valentine's.

While we've seen my take on Valentine's. Here's something about Stronger.
Stronger is a brand that is dedicated to making amazing women work out clothes. They are legit the best work out clothes I own in terms of quality and design.
It took two weeks for them to send me a a couple pairs of work out clothes from Sweden, but I swear, it's so worth it.
I have problems with my back that when I wear sport bra, often times my back will be so sore after a couple of hours and all of my sport bras hurt me.

Honestly I had no expectations for this one either, but after wearing it a couple of times, one; on the day I took these photos, and another; when I wore it all day until my Muay Thai class started at 4.30 - 6.00 pm. They didn't hurt AT ALL.

If you're looking to get a great work out clothes, here's their website:
But anyways, I hope that you'll have a lovely Valentine's, with or without a partner.
Honestly, I get better chocolates from my sister than my boyfriend.
But here's love from myself and my annoying partner in crime, best friend, and boyfriend.

Happy Valentine's Day!
